Thanks guys, another great insight into the country I live in. Ozzy & the rest of the band deserve more recognition just like you said, we generally are so good at preserving places of historical interest. I'm really shocked The Crown isn't being used as a live venue still or some type of museum to celebrate its importance in the rock n roll history timeline. Great video. You made a now horrible city into a fascinating video. The street where Ozzy was brought up would have been much nicer back in the day. But its now been taken over by folk who couldn't care less about where they dwell. That church is beautiful. I hope it can be restored. But Christianity has become less as less in Birmingham as another religion takes over, so churches are being abandoned there.

In an interview her father said the washing machine didn’t happen in real life. But they did go there quite often. The pic of her purse and cell phone saddens me whenever I see it. The Crown.. My mother's family come from Edgebaston. Her sister was married in the church in the city centre and had the wedding reception in the building (Jessica walked on the steps) directly over the road from the Crown. I remember my father popping out to buy cigarettes, and said he went to the pub over the road - no doubt he also had a crafty pint in there too.

Birmingham has Black Sabbath, Manchester has Joy Division, and Leeds has Sisters of Mercy! More iconic places for you to visit. Also, you could check out the several locations of the iconic Batcave nightclub in London.

Disappointing to hear Birmingham doesn't recognize Black Sabbath with at least one of the blue plaques. What an iconic band... thank you for this video!

Not really into Ozzy or BS (so to speak) but Tolkien grew up in Birmingham. The sooty skies inspired Mordor (along with the horrors of WWI). When I think of metal it is always Black and that means Norway. Of course, Tolkien was most inspired in his writing by the Norse and Germanic legends.
